We are pleased to announce that the two Boots to Boots veterans hired by Vancouver Fire Department have completed the academy, and start their first shifts this week.  We wish them continued success!

Update on Boots to Boots veteran participants

We ran another practice physical agility recently, and our veteran participants did fantastic.  These practice agilities are a great experience for all involved.

We would also like to wish all the best to two Boots to Boots vets who are currently in the Vancouver Fire Department training academy!

Boots to Boots would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and happy holiday season.  Our thoughts are with our veterans and active service members near and far.

Update

Many veterans are actively being mentored in the Boots to Boots program.  We just ran six vets through a Vancouver Fire Department practice physical agility last Saturday – a great orientation to one of the steps in the testing process.

Thank you for what you are doing.  You are all so caring to be reaching out the way you are.  I look forward to checking the website and reading stories about who you are helping.  Today Bryan is going on his first 36 hour “camp out” at Camp Pendleton.  Sometime today they have to go through the ‘gas chamber’- he’s not looking forward to that- he had to do that at Navy Boot as well.  He is doing awesome- overall score on tests 90%.  Physically- he’s pretty strong.  Best wishes to all!
